What to Expect During Urgent Care

Our veterinarians will carefully examine your pet to assess their condition and determine the best course of care. Depending on your pet’s symptoms, diagnostic testing such as X-rays or laboratory work may be recommended to help provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

At PetCare Clinic, urgent care cases are prioritized based on the severity of each pet’s condition and doctor availability to ensure pets needing immediate attention are seen as quickly as possible. We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care at a more affordable and value-conscious cost compared to many high-priced emergency hospitals.

Our team is dedicated to delivering efficient, trusted care, so you can feel confident your pet is in caring and experienced hands.

Urgent Care FAQs

Is there an urgent care exam fee?
Yes. Our urgent care exam fee helps prioritize your pet’s visit so our medical team can provide prompt attention and treatment. This fee covers the veterinarian’s examination and initial assessment of your pet’s condition.
What if my pet’s condition worsens while waiting?
Please notify our staff immediately if your pet’s condition changes or worsens so we can reassess their priority level.
What conditions do you treat?
We commonly treat vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections, skin problems, limping, coughing, eye issues, allergic reactions, minor wounds, urinary concerns, and other non-life-threatening conditions.
Will my pet need X-rays or diagnostic testing?
Depending on your pet’s symptoms, the veterinarian may recommend X-rays, bloodwork, or other diagnostics to help provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
What if my pet needs care after hours?
Our clinic closes at 5:00 p.m. If your pet needs medical attention after hours or is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, we recommend visiting one of the emergency veterinary hospitals in our community for immediate care. Click here to view local emergency veterinary hospitals.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed. We welcome walk-in urgent care visits during business hours.
Can my pet stay overnight?
No. We are an urgent care clinic and do not offer overnight hospitalization. Pets needing intensive or overnight monitoring may be referred to an emergency hospital.
Is urgent care less expensive than an emergency hospital?
Yes. In many cases, our urgent care clinic can cost up to 40% less than traditional emergency hospitals while still providing quality, compassionate veterinary care for your pet.
